Celebrate New Year’s Eve at an E.V. restaurant

If you haven’t made your reservations yet for New Year’s Eve at an East Valley restaurant, time is running out and you risk ringing in the new year with a McDouble and large Coke. Here’s a sampling of what some restaurants in Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert and Queen Creek are offering next Thursday night. All still have some openings, but many will be booked up by next week.

Down Under Wines: Newly moved in to a bigger space in Gilbert, Down Under will offer eight wine tastings paired with eight foods for $55 per person. Il Vinaio: Free champgane toasts will be held every hour starting at 6 a.m. There will be two seatings, 5 and 8 p.m., for a five-course meal. Cost is $35 per person, or $50 with wine pairings. 270 W. Main St., Mesa, (480) 649-6476, www.ilvinaio.com.

Siracha: Downtown Chandler’s newest addition will offer a four-course New York Strip steak dinner for two for $60 and a filet mignon version for $70. Either comes with a bottle of champagne or sparkling sake. 95 W. Boston St., Chandler, (480) 857-1409, www.sirachalounge.com.
